We sat down with our new in-house interior designer, Kelly Riley, to see how she tackles design projects, how she values her relationships with clients, and how she got started in the design field!
First, we would like to give a warm welcome to the newest addition to our Abode Fine Living family. Kelly Riley will be taking on the roll as our in-house interior designer, and we could not be more excited. The daughter of a designer and step-daughter of a contractor, Kelly has grown up around this creative field. Over time, she realized that creating beautiful spaces came naturally to her; it was something that ran deep in her blood. After graduating high school, Kelly attended the Academy of Art is San Francisco, and began creating one-of-a-kind rooms for her clients.
When getting started with a new design project, Kelly begins by visiting the client’s home to assess the space, the client’s goals, budget, and lifestyle. Something that Kelly really values, as a designer, is her relationship with her clients. She believes there is more to a design project then just creating a beautiful space. She wants the room she’s designing to truly be a reflection of the family and their life. A lot of the time, she finds that clients have so many ideas and struggle with trying to pick and chose which one work best for them and their personal style. That is where she can help. No matter the size of your design dilemma, Kelly is here to make sure you have a room that signifies who you are.
Although the rooms she designs vary in style, Kelly personally loves the look of a southwest inspired home. What drew her in the most about Abode Fine Living is that fact that we carry such an eclectic variety of items. It is something that gives customers a way to build their dream room regardless of what their style may be. She is here to help with any of our customer’s design challenges, and Kelly will help transform your space using the unique, standout pieces found in our store!
We are so pleased to have Kelly on board with us. She embodies everything an interior design is supposed to be and strives to make every client feel like they are family and a part of our own home.
